For the next generation Agila, the Steinmetz engineers have taken the 1.2i as the base vehicle and made modifications in key areas.
In the interior, the new aluminium gear knob for the Agila B by Steinmetz catches the eye. Touch it, and every gear change becomes a special experience. The top half the gear knob is styled in chrome aluminium, and the lower half in black. The range also includes the 4-piece floor mat set with Steinmetz stainless steel logo. Depending on the colour of the Agila, designer stripes are available in anthracite and silver.
New to the Steinmetz range for the Agila B is the 4-hole alloy wheel ST8 in 17″. The 15 spokes in exciting Bicolor design fill the wheelarches to perfection, and form the perfect combination with 195/40 R17 tyres. To meet the need for improved handling, Steinmetz lowers the petrol-engined car by 30 mm, matching every driving style harmoniously and comfortably.
With 518 hp and AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission
AMG is kicking-off the 2009 driving season with a new superstar: shortly after the launch of the new E-Class, the AMG high-performance brand of Mercedes-Benz Cars presents the new 2010 E63 AMG. This dynamic sports sedan impresses with outstanding performance, thrilling handling characteristics and advanced technology transferred from its sibling, the SL63 AMG high-performance Roadster. The E63 AMG makes its U.S. sales debut in November 2009.
The new E63 AMG distinguishes itself from the standard Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedans with a newly developed AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with electronically controlled damping, revised front suspension and unique exterior and interior design. At the same time, Mercedes-AMG has achieved a significant reduction in fuel consumption of almost twelve percent for the new E63 AMG, thanks to the precise application of several fuel efficiency improvements. With its unique combination of pioneering driver assistance systems, the E63 AMG further consolidates the brand's leading position in the field of automotive safety.
The AMG 6.3-liter V8-engine in the new E63 AMG develops an output of 518 hp and a 465 lb-ft of torque, matching the outstanding figures for the SL63 AMG. The high-performance Roadster has also transferred its AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission to the new model. This transmission replaces the conventional torque converter through the use of a multi-disc wet start-up clutch. In conjunction with the four individual driving modes, rev-matched shifts and RACE START function, the resulting, direct connection to the powertrain delivers an extremely emotional and high-performance driving experience.
For drivers looking for something that's not the average high-performance car: Have you considered a Volkswagen T5 Multivan?
We're not talking about the typical Multivan, of course; we refer to the creations of Berlin-based TH Automobile, whose modus operandi consists of hanging Porsche engines in Volkswagen vans. The TH2 Multivan has had a Porsche 996 GT2's 3.6 liter twin-turbo engine Frankenstein-ed into place behind the fuel tank, resulting in a 558PS, 807 Nm rear-drive people-hauler. A choice of rear- or all-wheel drive is available. If you want to go truly wild, TH Automotive will leave the standard 150PS diesel in place up front, for double-engined goodness. Hmm, that sounds familiar...
Brace yourselves: it's another body kit for the Bentley Continental GT.
This one's from Hamann, and it's called the Imperator. As a follow-up to the performance upgrades designed for the Bentley Continental GT and GT Speed, the tuner's comprehensive appearance upgrade is now available. The sixteen-piece body kit includes a revised front bumper with the latest in LED daytime running light fashion, side skirts and fender flares with vents, and a new rear bumper, diffuser and spoiler. A choice of Hamann-designed wheels is available; 21 x 10.5 inch, or a set of even larger 22-inchers that are 10.5 inches wide at the front and 11 at the rear.
AMG once again provides the Official F1TM Safety Car and Official F1TM Medical Car: SL 63 AMG and C 63 AMG Estate to continue to help ensure maximum safety for the 2009 Formula 1 season
The SL 63 AMG, as the Official F1TM Safety Car, and the C 63 AMG Estate, as the Official F1TM Medical Car, are to continue to help ensure maximum safety, this time for the 2009 Formula 1 season. AMG, the performance brand of Mercedes-Benz, will be on duty with the two specially prepared high-performance vehicles at all 17 of the new season's Formula 1 races, starting with a first appearance at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne (27 to 29 March 2009). The specialists from the AMG PERFORMANCE STUDIO are responsible for the development, production and servicing of the vehicles.
The Official F1TM Safety Car is always deployed whenever the safety of a race is threatened by accidents, adverse weather conditions or other hazardous situations. Sitting behind the wheel of the exceptional SL 63 AMG will be Bernd Mayländer (Germany, 37 years of age). After receiving instructions from the race management, the former DTM driver must go to the head of the Formula 1 field and safely guide the world's fastest racing drivers around the circuit. Fast lap times are a must for the Safety Car, because otherwise the Formula 1 engines would overheat - and their tyres and brakes would also cool down excessively.
The self-proclaimed world's largest tuner of VW Group vehicles, ABT Sportsline, has published new photos of its modified Audi Q5. The German firm offers various performance packages for the compact SUV with power and style treatments across the range of trims. On the outside, ABT's bodykit that includes front and rear aprons, rocker panels, new grille, a relatively large roof spoiler plus various alloy wheels (up to 22-inches in diameter) work to create an aggressive look for the German SUV.
For the interior, ABT's tuning program includes a series of accessories ranging from the decorative inserts made of carbon-fiber to a full leather trim.
The more important news is under the hood as ABT's "power-kits' boost the 2.0 TDI diesel's output from 140 to 170HP, the 3.0 TDI diesel's from 240 to 310HP and the 2.0 TSI gasoline engine from 211 to 240HP with a 275HP version following in the next few months. The engine upgrades can be complemented by a sport brake system with 380mm disc and a sport suspension that brings the SUV closer to the ground.
The VW / Audi specialist B&B from Siegen Germany integrated the VW Eos in their established turbo program.
The result is a breathtaking sports cabriolet which reaches in four different power levels (360, 400, 450 and 500 hp) performance values which are normally reserved for top-class sport cars.
Exclusive tires in 18" and 19" as well as a Eos exclusive aerodynamic program in original manufacturer quality finishes the appearance of the unique sport cabriolet.
The highest increment is achieved by the installation of a new developed intercooled turbocharger, a changed cylinder head with a trimmed compression, special suction and airflow pipes, high powered injection elements and a more precise fuel pump. In order to take the engine stable and suitable for daily use, the ledges, gaskets and several expendable parts are transposed by enhanced parts. By using a special slim line oilcooler the oil temperature will be set on a more stable level. To drain off emissions faster and dull sounding a racing exhaust system will be mounted when finally the optimized engine electronics take place to the tuned parts.
The performance values of the 500 hp / 650 Nm version: 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 13.5 seconds, Vmax 308 km/h (depending on translation)
To fulfill the risen requirements a special six or eight bulb high end braking system as well as a threaded chassis, adjustable in height and traction, has to be mounted. This conveys a comfort feeling of security and a confident driving behaviour to the VW Eos driver in every time.
