A comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the parts and components of a vehicle is necessary in producing a successful tuning package. For instance, the engine requires a compatible exhaust system design in order to accommodate modifications therein. The engine itself is linked with the transmission and also to a lesser degree with the suspension, braking, and others. All of these have been a major consideration in the Oakley Design giving you confidence that each package is carefully tested and developed over extended lengths of roads and tracks to provide customers high levels of satisfaction and driving pleasure. The Porsche 997 GT2 is such a design and comes with all the accumulated experience and expertise found in Oakley Design 997 GT3 & RS program.

The Ohio-based tuner, Switzer Performance Innovations (SPI) proves that they have more than one tuning trick up their sleeves introduced a milder performance upgrade for the Tiptronic-equipped 911s besides their previous 1,000hp bolt-on package for the Porsche 911 Turbo. The new tuning package, called L4 700/750, is flexible enough for daily driving and was really intended to attract a wider customer base. On top of a regular 997 Porsche 911 Turbo SPI added its own bespoke DME software, two upgraded variable-turbine-geometry V3 turbochargers, fresh intercoolers and race-style full exhaust system. The consequence of all these upgrades is a sprint rate of 0-60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, quarter-mile crossing in the mid-to-high 10 second level, with top speed in excess of 200 mph. The basic package costs $18,450.
