With only a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine at it's disposal, the Honda Civic Type R never got to shine in the hothatch market like rivals from Ford and Renault. However, that hasn't stopped in-house specialists MUGEN from trying to make it better and better.

By now, you'll all have heard of the radical car they've come up with, but just before the unveiling of a new generation Civic in Frankfurt, they've pulled a rabbit out of their hat and brought a bigger engine for the Type R.
